The country's first comprehensive AI law that classifies violations into three levels (minor, serious, and most serious), creates new national institutions, establishes the Autoridad Nacional de Inteligencia Artificial (National Artificial Intelligence Authority), prohibits nonconsensual sexual deepfakes, electoral manipulation with AI, and places special emphasis on protecting women, girls and vulnerable groups.
